My car won't shut off. I turned it off and took the keys out and it still runs.

A stuck ignition switch will do this. To stop the engine pull the fuel pump fuse. To stop the battery from going dead, remove the negative battery cable. The ignition switch is a fairly high failure item as is the locking mechanism.
