I have a 1984 BMW 528e an the whole instrument panel is not working Neither speedometer or RPM gauge but everything else is what could be the problem

The S.I. Board inside the cluster has failed. I will be home on Sunday and will repost with all the information for your repair.

OK, I'm back. The part number is 62-11-1-394-273 and might be available from Realoem. Com or you could call Autobahn dismantling at (619)444-2290 and see if they have a complete cluster, it might be a way to go for you.
