Have to use a pulley holder to hold water pump pulley then turn the 32 mm wrench clockwise to remove the cooling fan. Fan nut uses left hand threads

I put a new thermastat in and it still overheated so I was about to take a hammer to it when I saw the release plug, I took it out and poured water in it and it took alot I the put radiator flush in it and and didn't over heat. Last night I drove it up the hill to reno (100 miles) and it was fine, so now it runs great, thank you guys for all your help.
