I have a BMW 325 i, 1990 with 215000 original miles. I change the oil myself and I need to learn how to reset the green lights on my dashboard. It is on orange and soon will change to red. I know I need to purchase a device to do that. Can you tell me what device to purchase and where that device is going to be plugged to?

Thanks

I dont know about BMW's but let me take a stab at it here, turn the key on and push the pedal to the floor and back 5 times in about 5 seconds total.

The tool for the resetting of the service interval can be had from european auto source or realoem. Com or BMW partsonly. Com and will have instructions included. Also can be found in the BMW car club monthly magazine called "ROUNDEL" The procedure is as follows, key to the on position, don't start the car, install reset tool in the 20 pin diagnostic plug in the engine compartment, push and hold the button on the tool until the service interval indicator shows 5 green LED's, you are ready to go!
