Exhaust glowing red

I have a 1989 bmw 325i e3o and when I rev the car the exhaust glows red I have stripped it all down and rebuilt it with a head gasket kit vnew plugs new oil and fuel filter new fuel pump and a new air intake but the problem is still there and im looking for a little advice

Check to see if the exaust is resticted, has the cadilatic coverter made any noise. If it has rattled it could be getting ready to go it will get red hot because of the exaust restriction.

Dont forget mixture control. Is the check engine light on?
