I have a 2001 BMW 325ci, it is stalling at around 3000 rpm and comes back on, sometimes it does not want to start, cranks but does not catach. I have replaced the fuel pump and filter already and had it to the BMW dealer who found nothing. I don't want to keep throwing parts at it for no reason. HELP !

Thx
Manny

The short test performed at the dealer should have revealed what the issue is. I need that information to go any further.

The dealer came up with no codes, and was unable to get it to quit. He did think that it may be the idle control valve. I not so sure. I am leaning towards the crank or cam sensor.

What do you think?

A crank or cam sensor fault will set an immediate fault code. It will set a fault for what they call plausibility. It could be many things, hard to pinpoint it from here.
