Our overflow tank broke and was replaced and now the low radiator dash indicator stays on. We have had a new sensor just put in and it still stays on. Is it necessary to have a code cleared to clear this light? If not, what is your suggestion

There is a possibility the sensor installed is intermittent or just a bad unit. The sensor is a reed switch that recognizes a magnetized float contained inside the expansion tank and can be removed without the need to drain the cooling system. If the coolant level is normal and is working properly, try changing the sensor. Part# is 17-11-7-506-601. If that does not fix it, then the expansion tank is faulty and should be a warranty replacement item.
