1993 BMW 325 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive

My son push on my passenger window while my husband was rolling it down and the window is now off the track or something. It is sideways in the track and when you try to roll it down it makes a popping noise like something is breaking inside. How do I get the door panel off so I can see what is going on inside.

There are several screws that need to come out, one is behind the switch/button assembly for the rear view mirrors. In the handle, there are two that you need to get down low to see. Then the door panel is held in with plastic darts that need to be popped out, start at the bottom with a plastic wedge tool and then the top comes loose, be cautious because the older E-36 door panel can be fragile and you may need to hot glue some of the attachments back on.
