AC only blows on high and is not cold. Both problems seemed to have occured at the same time.

E-30 is known for blower motor resistors going bad and the A/C control unit could possibly be at issue here. Does the A/C clutch engage, does the auxiliary fan go on when the A/C is selected? There are several things we can do first, repost and lets try to fix this. I recommend a BMW pro to look at the car, with the info provided, I cant tell from cyberspace. ♥
