1985 BMW 325 no check engine light on

Without the ckeck engine on.I have no power to the distribitor nor do my fuel pump come on. So what do I do to correct this problem.

Check the fuses and inspect/replace the main and fuel pump relays and see if there is power from the battery to these relays.

It is located next to the fuse box. The main relay is probably a metal case(as opposed to a plastic case for replacement relays) and is about 30mm x 30mm square. The fuel pump has a green wire with a purple stripe coming from terminal 87.
