1996 BMW 318 Clutch pops out

When I put the Clutch in first gear, sometimes it pops out when I start to accelerate. Once I get moving, I am fine, but this only happens on first gear.

I am scared to start moving from first gear so I start, using 2nd gear.

What could it be?

Either the shifter isnt getting it all the way into gear or something internal is bad.
