Wonder what the cost would be to fix a blown engine in my vehicle. Already had it looked at know the engine is blown. But, I love my vehicle it ran like a champ let my brother drive and he blew the engine. Want to fix just want to know how expensive it will be because I am disabled and need to get an estimate to get it approved for payment.

I cannot tell you this because I just do not know to what extent the damage has gone. With out having the engine dismantled and inspected first hand you cannot even begin to do a quote, probably the best option will be a reconditioned change over engine or a used engine from a wreckers yard. Your local work shop can price these and labor at local rates to give you a general idea.

They never had a 3.7 in a Grand Cherokee. Either the vehicle or the engine size is incorrect.

Kind of do not know if it's rebuild-able or not, it all depends on how much damage was done.

There are other options.

You did not give me enough information to get a real accurate selection, You can go into the same site with more accurate info to narrow down the results (I used "Larado"). You wanna see "exact fit for your vehicle". My link below is for a re-manufactured engine with a warranty. Labor is not included.

Again/ put in your information and see what comes up.

You also have the auto salvage yard option, of finding one.

Then we have the 'probably will work locally anywhere' option!

Select your local auto parts store, more than one will be even better. Read my answer in this link.

My theory is, a real vehicle guy, will know a real vehicle guy. Not your neighbor who cannot change a tire or someone else with no real vehicle experience.

The "right guy" might offer insight/ cost on the other options I mentioned above, he might even offer a great warranty on his work.

So, do your local homework, I hope my method might find you the mechanic (vehicleologist) that you continue to trust and depend on, you know, like your family doctor or dentist!

Continue to touch base here, let us know what's going on!
