My car's fan control switch is stuck on vent. I cannot get it to switch to floor or defrost. I have replaced the control cable before but it got stuck again. Is there a way to lubricate the door to keep it from happening again?

No real way to lube the door. What usually happens is the HVAC case itself moves as it heats/cools and the warping causes the doors to stick. You could crank up the heat, then pull the trim and the control head and see if you can use a screwdriver to turn the cable control with the case hot. This video will show you how to fix it

It could be the jam is outside on the cam actuator, try freeing it up there and spraying that unit with some dry lube spray. Should be above the drivers side foot well to the right side.
