Hi Rob here.
This indicator lets you know that there's a Critical Warning Message that you need to read as soon as possible, but it doesn't actually indicate a specific problem. Really, the triangle with an exclamation point is a catch-all warning light, designed to alert you to issues that your other lights won't catch. What you need to do at this point there will still be a temporary code stored in the vehicle. I would have it scanned a lot of times and auto parts scan it for free. It will give you a generic code, but it will point us in the right direction. If the vehicle is running shifting and properly, it can be anything from an engine misfire to a fuel related issue to a transmission related issue with all depends on the code. It can even be an issue with the charging system. If the vehicle is running and shifting properly now most likely it’s an intermittent problem, but you still want to have it scanned as you do not want to have any issues down the road do you want to see what that code was to see what system caused that malfunction as you do not want to get stuck anywhere.
