My car had been having the battery light on since I bought it used, so I bought a new battery thinking the light would go away. It still kept coming up, three months later after buying the battery my car wouldn’t turned on. I took the battery back to see if I got a replacement and they said it just needed charging because the battery was good. So they gave me a recharged battery, but they told me maybe something was wrong with the car, so they check it and everything passed as well as the alternator. So I’m still not sure why the battery light still turns on, should I be concern?

Hello,

The battery might test good, as well as the alternator, but did anyone test the wiring from the alternator to the battery? The wiring connecting the two is just as important as the battery or the alternator because if there is unwanted resistance in the wiring, then the amperage/current will not make it to the battery like it is intended to and won't charge the battery. In the diagrams down below I have included a wiring diagram of your vehicle's charging circuit and a guide on how to find unwanted resistance in an automotive electrical circuit for you. You will need to use a Digital Multi-meter [DMM] to do this,so here is a link to a guide below explaining how to use one, if needed:

Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
