I was listening to music in my car when my car said battery save mode activated. My car wouldn’t turn on after that as if there’s no battery in the car at all, no lights come in, no clicking noise, nothing. Is my battery dead? What does the battery save mode do, will it help to recharge my battery?

This is basically a load shedding process to try and save the battery from failing to leave you stranded. It is trying to cut off different electrical loads to keep enough life in the battery to allow the vehicle to start. It doesn't always work because it depends on the actual life of the battery.

At this point we need to have the battery tested and more then likely it will need to be replaced.

Here is a guide for more info on this. If you take the battery to a parts store, they should test it for free for you.

Let me know if you have more questions about this. Thanks
