About 2 weeks ago our daughter was driving home and noticed the battery light came on. We have replaced the alternator, the battery, and the ECM. The light is still on. We called the number on the paperwork that came with the ECM, and they told us it sounds like we got a bad ECM. So, we took it back and got another ECM. The battery light is still on. We have no idea what else it could be or why the battery light remains on. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You could have gotten a defective alternator which is common, but let's check the wiring to the alternator by using this guide and the charging system wiring diagrams below:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-wiring

Also check fuse #23 inside the car and fuse # 13 in the fuse panel under the hood.

Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

We had the alternator checked and it was good. What my husband found was that there was a wire that went into the O2 sensor and it was completely broken off. We replaced that and now the battery light is off. Thank you for your help!
