1996 Audi A6 2.7L Quattro 126K. My car was working fine until I stopped and when I turned the key to start it again it turned to the start position and only all of the auxillary functions would work and the car would not even start to turn over. Brought it to a local place and they don't seem to know what theyre doing. Thanks

If you see the normal lights that usually comes On-sounds like the starter circuit is not working in the ignition switch, transmission range switch, or the starter itself.

Look for power at the solenoid wire at starter while key at the cranking position of the ignition switch-Do you have power? No power there check at the TRS-power there-either you have a bad TRS or an open wire to the starter solenoid. No power its coming from the ignition switch.
