When accelerating between 2000 and 3000 rpm, the rpm will rise abruptly approximately 300 rpm then settled back down and accelerate. This started when the local weather changed to cold ambient (less than 40F). I checked clutch operation by accelerating in 5th gear from 1500 rpm (high clutch load) and it didn't slip.

Hi Bertani4,

Thank you for the donation.

Seems the clutch is starting to fail.

At 2000 to 3000 rpm range, the engine torque is high and tendency to slip would be higher. At 1500 the engine torque is low so it might not slip as the clutch still has not failed completely.
