Anti-theft Device immobilizer?

The car was gifted to me and it came without an ignition, it's all ripped out so every time I start the car it does start with a screwdriver it goes for a little bit and then a whining happens and then it shuts down and applies the brakes and it doesn't shut down it just the brakes are applied and it slams on the brakes.

It sounds like the engine shuts off at speed and the transmission drags the car to a stop. Can I ask if the security light is flashing when this happens? If so, the ignition switch will need to be replaced and put back to the way the car was designed. If not let's run the codes to see what comes up.
