I have a 95 S-10 with the V6 Vortec. The truck only has about 84K miles on it. Recently it will only drive about 10 miles or so and then it starts trying to stall on me.

I dont see any electrical problems and everything in the engine appears to be running fine. Which leads me to believe the problem may be in the fuel system. Could a faulty fuel filter cause the stalling?

Ive heard that the problem could also be a fuel pump, but I think this truck is fuel injected but cant verify.

If the problem is the fuel filter, how hard is it to replace myself?

If the lines are fairly clean and relativley rust free, you should be able to replace yourself.

I would check the fuel pressure to make sure it is within specifications first.

Not that hard. Use a 21mm and a 16mm wrench. And take your time.

Not always that simple on a 12 year old truck in the northeast.
