I have a similar problem with my 91 Acura integra.
Sometimes will start fine then run for some time and then shut off. At times it will not start at all. Changed distributer cap and spindle, wires and pluggs. None helped. The distributer seems to be fine. And car runs great when running. Thinking about changing the distributer but its $230 I would like to know that this is a definite fix before I do. Any help would be appriciated.

I am driving hondas for years and a currently driving an integra type r. Sounds to e like your distributter definatly. What id recomend is a can of damp start to seal a dodgey distributor cap from dampness which would cause the lazy starting, if that doesnt sort replace the unit possibly, rotor, bearing damage in the distributor. And of course im takeing in to account that your engine aint worn out. Best of luck!
