1997 SL2 Thermostat degree

I need to change my thermostat in SL2. When I'm looking around, I founding that there is more than one option for degrees for the thermostat. What is the best option of degrees should I put on my car if I live in Michigan(180, 185, or 195)? Also, what is the best brand for thermostats?

Welcome to the forum. :)

The owners manual for my 96 SC2 calls for a 192/195 stat. I would not run anything cooler. I always liked stant. Bu sure to use the little cardboard tube/tool to remove and replace it into the housing. I have seen people break the housing when they tried to do it wihtout it. It will be included with stant stats.
