My car failed its MOT because of high emmissions, I have been told to get a Single Point injection adapter, but have no idea what it is, can you tell me please?

What was the readings on the HC/CO/NOX/O2/CO2. What about the adapter is it an OEM that needs to come back on-due to tampering.
