My airbag light has been on for the last month. I've checked the wiring under both front seats and everything was in tact. I rechecked the wiring again today (1/22/21) and afterwards I got back in the car and starting driving and noticed it was off. It came back on after 15 minutes of driving. About 6 hours later I got back in the car and it was on then after about 20 minutes of driving, it went back off. The light initially came on when my mom was in the passenger seat a month ago. She said she was trying to move the seat up. The light came on the next day and never went off until today. So I'm not if she touched a side sensor or what. Just trying figure out if it's something minor before I spend unnecessary money. Any suggestions would help. Thank you

Have you checked for what codes are there? When the light is on, you will have a code that will go along with it. Clearly it seems like a wiring issue but we need to find out what system is involved in order to narrow down possible causes. Here is a guide that will help with this:

Once we know what codes are there we can start targeting some search areas. However, I suspect this is a passenger side airbag inflator issue but we need to find that first rather then messing with airbag wiring. There is a chance that you can move some loose wiring and you get an arc and set the airbag off so we really need to know what we are dealing with before we go to much further. Thanks

I would suspect an issue with the seat occupancy sensor connection being it started when the seat was moved and the light came on. As KaseKenny says the first thing is to use a scan tool to see what the codes are. The occupancy sensor connectors are touchy and the sensors themselves are somewhat failure prone but I wouldn't do anything until you get it scanned as replacement requires the seat be removed and disassembled to replace them.
