As the title says, when I turn my a/c on I can feel air coming out but it's not cold air. I don't hear any noises when it's on which makes me think it's a compressor issue but could it just need refrigerant since it is blowing air out still?

Hi,

This could be low on freon and I would start with that before condemning the compressor. If the system is low then it can prevent the compressor from coming on to protect it from being damaged.

Here are some guides that will help give more detail.

As for it still blowing air, this is just your blower motor and not the compressor. The compressor is responsible for compressing the freon so that it cools down and the blower motor blows the air across the evaporator when it gets cooled and then distributed through the vents.

Let me know what you find with the freon level and we can go from there. Thanks
