1. My car cranks sometimes and at other times it will not crank. I can drive it for miles on end, turn it off and it will not re-start. It can sit for over an hour and it may start then. When I turn the key, I hear a click. I have replaced the starter with an Acura starter in December 2007.

Could it be the Main Relay?

2. When do you suggest replacing the Timing Belt?

I just purchased this vehicle from my sister for my son who is away at college. I need to correct this problem.

3. Can you help me?

Hi darylw,

If the engine cannot crank, it is not the main relay.

Either starter, its relay, ignition switch or battery terminals.

Recommended timing belts replacement are at every 60,000 miles, so your mileage indicates the third replacement period is almost due.
