Over last 2 months, 3 or 4 times the engine will not turn over, even after sitting for just 30 minutes, sounds like dead battery, slow then click, click, click. With jumper cables it starts right up. Had battery (2 years old) professional evaluated, perfect. Car is fine for weeks then it will do it again. Battery terminals was my first thought but have been cleaned with no change. Battery voltage is 12.47(off) 14.56 (running) What could cause this intermittent problem? Thanks, HP

Check for loose connections at the starter relay and the starter, if those are all good your starter may be bad and have worn brushes in it or a bad wire in it and sometimes working and sometimes not.

Or your starter relay could be bad.

I like the loose conection, bad starter/relay/wire idea, but why would it start as soon as jumper cables are connected?

Since you say the battery is tested and is good not just guessing it is good but actually taking it in and having it tested, then it shouldnt matter with the jumper cables connected on the fact of its like having a battery. Still I would have to say your battery is no more good, but since you insist the battery is good then it has to be what I listed
