The problem started with the overdrive indicator flashing. It did not flash all the time, but became more frequent. Also it was usually followed by the tacometer jumping and a short pause or loss of power. No problems with the operation of the trans. Ever occured. The trans. Has been removed and a new speed sensor installed along with fresh fluid. No debris found in old fluid. The original problems reoccured within 75 miles.I have "FISH HURDLE" as one option, please help with another.25

Hello -

Thanks for the info

As for the light flashing..... As you know.....

ECU monitors transaxle operation. ECU contains a self-diagnostic system which stores a fault code if a transaxle electronic control system failure or problem exists. If fault code is stored, ECU will turn on and blink "D4" light on instrument panel.

Is your check engine light on also or just the D4 light?

Now if I understand you correctly..... When you say a short pause or loss of power... Are you saying the engine did this and was shown on the tach or the tach did this but the engine was fine?

You said: "The trans. Has been removed and a new speed sensor installed along with fresh fluid. No debris found in old fluid." Now are you saying you removed and replaced the transmission or just removed and replaced the speed sensor, changed the trans fluid... All looked okay?

Right now the car is running okay....... Just the D4 light is blinking ONLY...

Am I correct in all of this?
