1990 Acura Integra Where are my gears?

When I first start my car all gears work. After the car warms up I put in drive or reverse and it won't go. Why?

If transmission has never been flushed and filter changed then good place to start. While pan is off can be inspected for metal or clutch material. Which would, if found, mean rebuild.
