My radiator fan is running after the car has been shut off. The A/C seems to be running weak if the car is idling. What could this all mean?

It is normal for the vehicle fan to continue to run after the vehicle was shut off, in situations like, the cars hot, you are low on coolant, you may have a thermostat problem, what does the temperature gauge say when you go to shut off?
