When the rpm's hot 3000 the car stops accelerating and when I press on the throttle more it starts to jerk, I have to take my foot of the throttle and let the rpm's go down before I can accelerate again. What could be causing this problem?

Hey YAPEDO1,

It sounds like one of two things are happening, either you have a cat that is plugged, or the fuel pressure is weak, here are two links that can give you an idea on how to test for these problems,

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-a-catalytic-converter

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-fuel-system-pressure-and-regulator

You will need to tap into the fuel line at some point to check the pressure you can get the tester from Amazon if you don't have one.

Let me know what you find.

Best, Ken
