The A/C blows only on defrost could it be a blend door actuator?

Blend doors control temperature, mode doors control the location the air comes out. The mode doors on that truck are controlled by a single actuator. It is buried in the dash on the side of the HVAC case. To get to it you start by removing the instrument cluster. For that you start by putting the wheel all the way down, then remove the close out strip on top of the column and then the 4 clips that hold the bezel in place over the cluster. Then the screws that retain the cluster and pull it out and set it aside. You will be accessing the upper screw on the actuator through the opening to the side. Next the book wants you to remove the brake pedal and bracket. For that you remove the steering column and then unbolt the bracket. But you can get to the bolts without doing that.

These actually show the shortcut method pretty well:

Now with it replaced you can test it before you put the cluster back in.
