I bought a new blend door motor and replaced it, but it did it still did the same thing, so I took it off and returned it. I wasn't aware that I was supposed to sync it up by removing the fuse or by unplugging the battery. Does anyone think that's why it didn't work? When I start my vehicle with the original blend door motor you can see the gear move and when I had it off I moved the gear that don't come off back and forth but it still didn't change the way the air felt. I have a pregnant wife who cannot ride in our car at this time due to this. Can anybody help me out to figure out what the problem is here? I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Good morning,

If you moved the door manually and the air did not get cold then it is either the door itself in the heater case or it is a Freon issue.

I would start by checking the actual pressures with a set of gauges to see if the system is working correctly. You can rent a set of gauges or buy a cheap set for this procedure.

The other possibility is the actual door itself inside the case. The gear may be moving but the door is not.

I calibrated the blend door motor by removing the HVAC fuse for both front and rear and that still didn't work. I pulled out the glove box and seen the gears move and the door as well. So I don't think its any of that. I am on my way to go get Freon I hope that works, if not do you have any more ideas? Do you know where I would get a gauge and how would I use it and everything I would need? Thank you so much for your help I really appreciate it.

Okay, thank you. With seeing the video do you think that's what it would be or do you think it would be something else?

No, it is a gauge set with the high and low side gauge to read pressures.

At this time I do not have the money for the gauges, but I do have the A/C Pro. Can I just use that to recharge my A/C or do I have to have those gauges? If not how do I recharge it? Again thank you so much for you help I really do appreciate it.

You can try with the charge kit but it is not accurate at all.

Try adding a can and post a picture of the reading after you install the can.

On the gauge on the A/C Pro says filled at 30 psi. So does that mean it's not the Freon?

Is this with the engine running and the A/C on?

If it is, how does the air feel in the car.

If it is without it running, no it is not.
