The button to turn on the A/C blinks after you push it and it will not stay on. I had this problem 3 months ago and took it into the shop. They reported a leak in the high side line and for $900.00 replaced it. Now three months later it is doing the same thing. A/C button blinks and won't stay on and the A/C is blowing warm air. Any ideas? I can't afford another $900.00 repair.

The flashing A/C light is telling you that the A/C has been shut off due to an electrical issue or a sensor has detected an issue and it shut the PCM off.

We need to start with checking the pressures to see what it is doing. It very well could be another leak or the first leak was not fixed and it took this long to leak the Freon low enough to shut the system off.

While there could be other issues like control head issues or sensor issues the leading cause of this is a Freon issue. Either high or low pressure so we need to start with this and find out where we are.

I suspect the issue is the Freon is low and the pressure switch is cutting the compressor off but we need to confirm this with checking the pressures. If you don't have access to a gauge set then you can rent them from most parts stores.

Lastly please don't just get a can of Freon and try to fill the system as if this is not the issue then you will overcharge the system and we will have more issues.

Please let us know if you have questions.
