Crazy? When I start the vehicle without the parking brake applied I never ever see the ABS light. If I start with the parking brake applied or apply it after it's running the ABS light stays on till shut off. ABS system seems to work fine with ABS light on or off.

Good morning,

The ABS system is separate from the normal braking system. It is a safety feature to keep the wheels from locking up on hard braking.

There is a code stored in the system for failure. You can get the code read for free from a parts store. Once you know the code, let me know and I can help narrow the area of failure.
