My A/C went out a few months back. The temperature outside was not bad so I did not worry about it. But now the temperatures are too much to tolerate. I was told to switch out the blend door actuator. I do not know where it is located. All the YouTube videos I see are cutting chunks out of the dash (yes, actually cutting) I had a mechanic recharge the A/C and he did and it did not fix it.

Good morning.

That is why I never believe any of those videos. Never ever cut anything for access.

Below is the location of the blend door motor and the procedure for replacing the motor itself.

No cutting required.

On days that the weather outside is cool (68F) the AC will blow cool air but once the temperature goes up the AC will begin to blow hot air. I vacuumed and recharged the system and as far as I could see there was no leaks, pressure was good.

Good afternoon.

Can you give me the high and low side pressures?

I want to see them to see if the pressures are correct.

Is the compressor engaging?
