Blend door works (changes from hot to cold). Cannot change from vent to defrost or to floor. When attempting to change modes, the fan load seems to change but the direction does not change. How many mode switches are there in this vehicle and which one changes the flow to defrost, vent, and floor. I need instructions on how to remove the dash panels to provide access to the actuator that needs to be replaced. I am happy to donate if a workable answer is provided (Results).

There are two mode actuators on that system, one moves the top door for panel and defrost, the other moves the lower door for panel and floor. However as you seem to have a problem where both have failed it may not be the actuators but the control head itself. When you first start the truck up, do you see any LEDs flash on the heater control buttons? If you do then I would start by using a scan tool to access the HVAC system and see what codes are stored. It is not an uncommon failure for the controller to go bad. You might also try a reset just to see if it starts working again, that would show it was the controller and not the actuators. To do that without a scan tool you remove the HVAC fuse from the TIPM (Fuse 23) wait 5 minutes and plug it back in. Now turn the key on and see if the system now works.
The next most common issue is the doors themselves fail, inside the HVAC case. That would fit with your description as well. For those however you need to remove the complete dash and seats out of the truck to get to the case to see if it's the internal doors or the actuators. The dash isn't that bad to remove but it is a day job if you have never done one before.
This video covers the job pretty well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pFEQAy_m6Y

However if you want to have all the steps you would be better off getting the service information so you have something to follow as well as all of the locations of the connectors and things to watch out for. For that you will want to search for operation charm. From there you can find the service info for your truck.
