Replaced my expansion valve. Will I need to pull vacuum in order to refill my Freon?

Hi,

Yes. Anytime you open the system or do any work on it for that matter, you want to pull a vacuum for two reasons. First, it ensures you don't have any leaks if it holds a vacuum for at least 15 minutes. Second, it pulls the moisture out of the system which is damaging to the compressor and other components.

Here is a guide that will help. Let me know if you need more information. Thanks.
