1998 Buick Century, was running fine. I parked it to flush the cooling system, which might be a coincidence, but now the car won't start. I'm not a mechanic, but it's not the first flush and fill I've done either.
I drained the cooling system. Installed a Prestone tee in the heater core line and started flushing the gunk out. I went to start the car to turn the heater on and have the clean water circulate and the car just made a clicking noise. I checked the battery, and it wasn't bad but

It wasn't great so I bought a new one. Same click, no start. I pulled the starter and bought a new re-manufactured starter. Installed the starter, exact same issue. Just a click. Lights and radio have plenty of power. Tried two different keys. Tried starting in neutral instead of park.

Try a different key if you have one your security system may be engaged and check starter relay for corrosion. Also after first trying to start wait 4 minutes to start again if it fails to start have it scanned by a pro as it may be security has locked it up because something is wrong withit

Thanks for the reply.
I've already tried both keys. I don't have a service manual and no one locally here has one for purchase anyway. Any idea where the starter relay is located?

Thanks HMac300. I'll print that and try looking tonight. I'll let you know either way tonight or tomorrow. Again, thanks. Single parent of a 5 year old, and this is my only vehicle so I'm very grateful for the free advice.
