Could it be the engine that is making it buck like a cylinder misfire, its difficult to tell when we cant test drive it, can you take a you tube video and post it please?

There is a problem going into 4th gear so that's not a engine miss fire. That's a pressure issue or a leaking 4th gear clutch piston.

It's only the 4th gear that is not working causing my overdrive to not work. My engine is fine. I mean I'm no mechanic but I do know it's gotta deal with my transmission somehow.

Sorry It sounds like an engine misfire to me. Have you changed the plugs lately?

It's not going into 4th gear that's not a misfire that's a transmission problem.A misfire won't cause it to not go into 4th gear.

My fourth gear slipped or broke which caused my overdrive to go out. So I have to get my transmission rebuilt which is costing me money

Why don't you just find a used transmission?That's what did when my 1999 Saturn SL2 transmission went out.
