So, I am really stuck.
Done couple timing belts on Honda's
First Chain
Similar concepts
So, here's the problem:
All marks lined up and install new chain.
But turning by hand the crank shaft.
The marks disappear.
Never lining up again.
By TDC and cam sprocket mark positioning it's still looks perfect
But again, never see the pink 2 marks line up again with the orange at very bottom with crank shaft notch that holds shaft straight up.

I found TDC on # 1 piston.
Checked with straw down the sparkplug and marked with little line

Double checked by temporary installing timing cover and harmonic balancer and the mark there is showing perfectly.

The 2 pink color links are lined up perfectly on 2 cam sprockets
The left side (intake I believe).
Notch almost at 12 o'clock
The right cam (exhaust I believe is called) is at 1 o'clock.

So, here's the question I need answered:
if all looks perfect then when I turn crank shaft the marks eventually should line up again.
But they never do.
They all look aligned by cam sprocket positioning and TDC but.

Hello,

It is important to have the correct sequence of steps during the replacement of the chain.
Take a look below. I have attached the replacement procedure. Check to see if you might have missed anything. There are a few different markings, and they all have to be just right.

Let me know what you find.
Thank you.
