I recently purchased the vehicle listed above LX. All interior lights; dome, courtesy, cargo, etc., work fine when switched on manually, but do not turn on automatically even when the dome switch is set to the “door” position. This applies to all four passenger doors when ajar. This does not, however, affect the cargo area for whatever reason (it comes on automatically when the cargo door is open.) As a woman, not having the interior lights come on when entering my car at night makes me very uncomfortable. The manual to my car ‘suggests’ that auto interior lights may have been an optional add-on during original purchase, but that cannot be right, can it? Please tell me someone here has an easy fix for my problem. Ugh. Attached pictures show both dome switches in door position and no lights; what you cannot see is that all four doors are actually open.

Hello,

There is a Room/LP fuse that needs to be checked. Here is a guide to help walk you through the steps and the location of the fuse along with the wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

Thanks Ken! It might be a few before we have a chance to do this, but I will definitely post back once we do.
