The hydraulic power steering uses engine load, which in turn consumes fuel, The electrical power steering does not place a load on the engine which in turn does not require more fuel. More suitable for a small or any car is electrical power steering, (some small car you don't even need power steering). Hydraulic there are so many component that needs to be replaced like the, hose, the fluid, the drive belt, As for the electrical just the motor maybe a fuse, . Go with the electrical steering.

The hydraulic steering has a pump run by the belt off of the engine. The elctric is just an electrical run steering system pump is electrical or it's an electric steering box
