Coolant leak

Coolant leak at the engine end of the top radiator hose. It is leaking at the bolt to the left. See the photo.

Hello,

Did you try tightening the bolt? Sometimes a bolt, like the one in your picture (thank you by the way) will back off slightly, just enough to allow a minor leak, like the one in your picture. Try it and get back to us with what you are able to find out, please.

I tried to tighten it and couldn't tighten it any more. Is there a copper washer or seal in/under there? Could that part be cracked? What is that called?

Hello again,

I believe that is going to be your thermostat housing. There should be an O-Ring gasket in there that might have failed. I have included some diagrams for you in the diagrams down below. Please get back to us with what you are able to find out.
