Hi, I have a Nissan Sentra 2008 Yr model, which was not driven for a year and was parked in an open parking lot in michigan. I was out of the country and my friend did start the car every week, but the past 6 months the car was not started and looks like the battery is dead now. The car wouldnt start now. Please can you advise, what I should check before I take the car out on the road again, just to be safe.

Check your belts, hoses ant tires for dry rott. Check the level and condition of all fluids, make sure all of the lights and horn work, make sure the brakes are not sticking, check the air pressure in the tires including the spare.
