Just bought at auction. Runs okay, but a little bit rough. Going to replace plugs. Bought NGK. What is gap on plugs? Also, running STP fuel injector cleaner through right now. 5/8 through tank now. Will Lucas upper cylinder lubricant with fuel injector cleaner help? Furthermore air filter is clean and is fuel filter in tank, sealed fuel pump? Any other suggestions with regards to better fuel consumption along with easy maintenance with this rig?

Thanks, Paumpa Pump

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it. check for a vacuum leak. See link.

Thanks, I will try your suggestions and get back to you with results. If I may while I have you. I have chevy 1994 ck1500 with 305. I cant get high idle to kick down. I sprayed carb with carb cleaner. In throat, all around cleaking up. I thougnt it kicked down when I sprayed at front, bumper side, it did. I waited 30 second or so sprayed again and high ile kick bck on. Check engine light would come on after 15 20 seconds of being stopped and go off when rolling. After spraying carb, it hasent come on but high idle engaged. A mechanical friend suggested swithing out TPS sensor. Thoughts about TPS? ANY OTHER HELP CAUSE I CANY AFFORD FUEL the eay my girl is drinking these days. Thanks and nice horse in pic!

That has a tbi unit on it and check the base gasket they blew the gasket quite often causing a vacuum leak which can be high or low idle, performance issues etc.
