I have a 2008 Chevy Impala SS and the rear tires wore out twice in 23000 miles. Why?

Hello,

Typically excessive tire wear is due to a bad alignment. It can also wear off faster is they are not inflated properly.
The alignment can be off due to regular wear of suspension item or for being damaged, like hitting a curb etc.

Make sure that the tires are at correct pressure level.

Then check the alignment. If it is off then it needs to be corrected.

Here is a helpful guide on tire wear:

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
