My daughter was idling the car, in park, and said it sputtered then would not do anything, at this point I believe it stalled. She then she attempted to start it back up and nothing happened. We took the battery and starter to leave them tested and they both passed. The battery is six years old and even though it takes a full charge, it shuts off pretty quickly with the key on and the door open, less than thirty minutes. I tested the S post on the starter on an ate emptied start and there was no signal. I replaced the ignition relay and all the fuses have been checked. I went through several wires and all looks good. When I hook up a Matco Maxme scanner it is not communicating with the ECU. This scanner worked on several other cars. I am trying to narrow down to a bad computer, but I am not sure what or how to retest the computer before dropping $200.00 on a new one. Any help would be appreciated.
