Car remote not working

Hey Ken.
I have a 2008 GEN2 1.6 AT CAMPRO - the Australian model. When I bought the car it came with a 2nd key that was missing its chip. So tracked down a replacement and have managed to use the original key and your guidance above to program the new chip to work the alarm and central locking effectively but the original 2nd key now with its newly programmed chip refuses to disengage the immobilizer for some reason. What am I missing? Cheers!

Does the car work with the original key but not the 2nd key? I would try a hard reboot of the system which is done by holding the negative cable to the positive terminal for 1 minute. This will discharge the capacitors to allow the system to reboot. Here is a guide that can help
